The Puppy Food Bank is Expanding Its Footprint to the 48 Continental United States

 

 

Starting April 1, 2024, the Puppy Food Bank is expanding its footprint to assist pet rescue shelters all across America. The success we experienced in Texas in 2023 AND the overall humanitarian need led us to that decision. There are too many dogs (and cats) euthanized every year. The cost of feeding animals is a major deterrent for rescue shelters to maintain their shelter populations. Hence, most city and county government shelters routinely euthanize unclaimed pets after just 2-3 days!

 

 

“We are better than that, my friends,” says Puppy Food Bank’s ambassador and spokesperson, John O’Hurley.

 

 

Puppy Food Bank’s founder Bob Wills made the decision late last year to expand their virtual food bank to the 48 continental United States in an effort to significantly reduce the number of pets euthanized each year. “Many studies estimate that over 375,000 dogs are euthanized every year—that’s about 1,000 dogs every day! That is not how we should be treating mankind’s best friend,” states Wills.

 

 

As Puppy Food Bank receives more and more monthly donations from people joining our cause to save pet lives, more and more shelters can be financially assisted with pet food support. We are at the mercy of caring pet lovers to make a major difference.
