This Monday, May 29, The PM Group will be closing our office in observance of Memorial Day and taking time to remember military personnel who have fallen in the line of duty. It can be a tough day for many veteran families who have lost loved ones – but that’s where special clients like Soldiers’ Angels step in to help.
The primary mission of Soldiers’ Angels is to provide aid, comfort, and resources to the military, veterans, and their families. They are dedicated to letting no soldier go unloved with support programs like food distribution and care packages for the deployed, wounded, veterans, and their families.
Soldiers’ Angels also encourages volunteers to write words of comfort by joining their official Letter Writing Team, spread warmth with their Annual Blanket Drive, and even honor military dogs during National Pet Week, among many other special campaigns.
From this Memorial Day until Veterans’ Day, Soldiers’ Angels will be running their Hops for Heroes Campaign, encouraging local breweries to brew a custom Homefront IPA™ recipe and donate the proceeds back to service members.
Their support has been felt across the U.S. – according to their 2021 annual report, nearly 1 million were aided with over $235 million in funds provided to support service members wherever needed – incredible!
Hearing about the great work they have done, you may ask – how can I also get involved supporting active-duty soldiers and the families of lost service members? Soldiers’ Angels has the answer. Recurring and one-time monetary donations, as well as memorial and tribute donations in honor of the deceased can be made out to soldiers, veterans, and their families. Non-monetary gifts such as household items, children’s books, etc. are also accepted.
You can also sign up to volunteer in person or virtually at Soldiers’ Angels events which are held across the nation.
There are many more ways to give which can be found at https://soldiersangels.org/ways-to-give/. Every act, big and small, contributes toward making the lives of soldiers and their families just a bit brighter, on holidays of remembrance like Memorial Day and every day.
